The Federal Emergency Management Agency and Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation are requiring that Missoula County update the countywide Floodplain Regulations. The amendments include changes to definitions and updates to regulatory language to comply with the DNRC model ordinance. County staff are holding public review sessions to present key points and answer questions about the amended floodplain regulations. One such session will be held 9-10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 31, over Microsoft Teams (click here).
Missoula County commissioners heard a resolution of intent at their public meeting at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, and the final resolution at their public meeting at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22. Both meetings will be held in the Sophie Moiese Room of the Missoula County Courthouse annex, 200 W. Broadway. The meetings are also accessible via Microsoft Teams.
